| From my blog: "Back in 2010/11 MCR released the album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys and all the fans (myself included) went crazy and fell in love with the world the Killjoys inhabited. A lot of them then went and created a Killjoy alter-ego for themselves. I didn’t. I wanted to, but could never think of a name I was entirely happy with. Recently I’ve become obsessed with the song ‘Save Yourself I’ll Hold Them Back’ from the album, and as usual, my obsession bore artistic fruit. So now, about two years late, I’m joining the remaining Killjoys around the world as Sly Missile. I designed my gun, mask, bandana and logo by myself, then decided I wanted the gun to be real. I had a look online to see how other people had made theirs. Many used cheap water-pistols painted up, but they didn’t have the right shape or style. Others had made theirs with layers of cardboard, which was better, but I just thought “Not good enough for me to take pride in”. As such, it is my plan to create and build this gun as a papercraft model using foamcore and cardstock, and possibly a few other elements where the others fail to fit.
